The Valparaiso Parks Department invites the public to share their ideas, thoughts, and concerns regarding Bicentennial Park. On Tuesday, October 6, the public is invited to attend a focus group and discussion on Bicentennial to be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Welter Room at Forest Park Golf Course, 1155 Sheffield Avenue.
Lehman & Lehman Consultants is working with the Park Board and Park staff to study infrastructure needs and to identify possible improvements to Bicentennial Park, including perhaps an additional youth softball field.
Bicentennial Park, located off of Burlington Beach Road, is a 15-acre site that has been serving the neighborhood and community since 1976. The Park Board has identified Bicentennial as a high priority to study for infrastructure renewal.
