Purdue Calumet Men’s Tennis Falls in Season Opener at St. Joseph’s College Sunday

PUC-PeregrinsThe Purdue University Calumet men's tennis team kicked off its 2015 season Sunday when the Peregrines traveled to St. Joseph's College. The Peregrines sustained a 9-0 nonleague setback.

The Peregrines' No. 1 doubles team of Alberto Monaco and Patrick Mudd put up a fight in their match, falling 8-4 to SJC's Redi Imel and Adam Meeker. That effort was repeated by the No. 3 duo of Murilo Cunha and Jeff Michner, who also fell 8-4, to St. Joseph's pair Samir Shammas and Lucas Jessen.

Purdue Calumet returns to action when Friday, March 20, when the Peregrines face Roosevelt and Adrian at Match Point Racquet Club in Griffith, Ind.
