“Nursing through the Decades”, a program about the nursing profession from the 1950s to the present, will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, April 10 in Alumni Hall of the university’s Student Union & Library.
The free program will highlight advancements in nursing. A panel of nurses representing the profession since the mid-20th century will discuss and respond to questions.
Refreshments will be served.
The program is hosted by Purdue Calumet’s Sigma Theta Tau International Mu Omega Nursing Honor Society. Interested attendees are requested to pre-register online at http://webs.purduecal.edu/news/nhs-registration or e-mail Clinical Nursing Professor Joan Dorman at Dormanj@purduecal.edu.
“It is our hope that the audience, not only will learn more about this amazing profession, but will have a great time comparing experiences,” Dorman said.
