Purdue head coach Matt Painter and the Boilermaker staff will once again lend a hand to the fight against cancer on Saturday when they forgo their dress shoes for sneakers as part of Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers weekend.
Basketball coaches nationwide will wear sneakers this weekend to demonstrate their support for the American Cancer Society and its vision of a world with less cancer. Boilermaker fans are also encouraged to wear sneakers on Saturday to show their support.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a collaborative initiative of the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers coaches, their teams and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
