Recapping Purdue Calumet’s Homecoming Events 2015

Homecoming-King-and-Queen-2015Two Purdue University Calumet seniors were voted king and queen of recent homecoming festivities on campus.

Armando Lopez of St. John, a senior accounting major, was crowned king. He is a member of the Finance and Accounting Club and participates in Intramurals and CPA Day of Service. He is also a member of the student staff in intramural athletics.

Ashley Peterson of Hammond, a senior communications major, was honored as queen. She is the news editor for the campus student newspaper, The Chronicle, a New Student Orientation Leader, and an intern in the office of Marketing and Communications. She also participates in Peterson and Holsen Music and is a College Bound Scholarship recipient.

This year’s homecoming events, sponsored by the Student Government Association, Athletics, and Campus Life, included Spirit Day, a women’s volleyball match, men’s and women’s basketball games and a dance.
