Recovery Connection Receives Grant

2014-RC-grant-checkRecovery Connection, a PACT program, is the recipient of $6,000.00 in grant funds from the Porter County Substance Abuse Council for their Family Strategies series which begins in January of 2015. Recovery Connection is located at 254 S. Morgan Boulevard in Valparaiso.

Family Strategies is a 12-week skill-building workshop by Claudia Black, PhD, MSW. The journey to healing and recovery begins with breaking the silence, letting go of denial, and the willingness to go beyond you to find the answers.

“We are thrilled and excited to receive this funding,” said Tracy Traut, administrator of addiction and recovery services. “These dollars will help provide scholarships for families who would like to attend the workshops. Having funds to provide services to families in the community is really important, personally and professionally.” Anyone interested in this program may call 219.510.6501 to register or obtain more information.

The Porter County Substance Abuse Council awards grants to its coalition members through a competitive application and review process.
