Region Rat Rollers to Take On Chicago Outfit, Midwest Derby Divas

RRRLogoFlat track roller derby - a seemingly underground sport that's resurgence has quickly taken the world by storm, thunders back into the area with the lightning quick action of your own Region Rat Rollers.

Heading to the Windy City, RRR will take on the Chicago Outfit’s Shakedown on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Doors open at 6:00pm at Windy City Fieldhouse (2367 W. Logan Blvd.) in Chicago.

On May 18, the fast-paced action of the RRR skaters will return to their home location, Jean Shepherd Center, 2021 J.F. Mahoney Drive, Hammond against the Midwest Derby Divas. The doors open at 5:00p.m. with the bout starting at 6:00 p.m. The evening will feature a patriotic theme to honor the Warriors First Foundation – our selected charity for this event. Tickets are available at the door. Bout ticket prices are $10 for general admission and children 6 and under are free. All individuals presenting a valid Military or Veteran’s identification card will receive complimentary admission.

At the venue, fans will find beer options, provided by the Hobart Jaycees, a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and a full concession stand, provided by The Hot Dog Lady from Crown Point. This is a family friendly event, with a free kids crafting corner sponsored by the non-for profit group The Ripple Effect.

The women of RRR will travel to Warsaw, Indiana on June 1 to take on the Lake City Roller Dolls in a highly anticipated rematch.
