Registration for Winter Basketball Starts on November 13th

BGC-logo-newChildren can have fun staying active and fit this winter by playing basketball in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County-South Haven Club league. Registration begins on November 13, 2012 and closes December 15, 2012. The co-ed basketball league focuses on skill development, sportsmanship and fun. The co-ed league is open to boys and girls ages 5-13. There are a limited number of available spots for each age division.

Parents can register their children at the South Haven Club, located at 723 Long Run Road, Valparaiso, IN from 3:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. beginning November 13, 2012. Parents are encouraged to sign up early during the registration period as spaces for the leagues fill quickly.

All players must be Club members. Boys & Girls Club of Porter County offers affordable annual memberships. Membership fees are $35.00 per child. Financial assistance is available for membership and league fees for those who qualify. League fees are $25.00 for the 5-7 year old division, $30.00 for the 8-10 year old and $35.00 for the 11-13 year old divisions. All players receive a team t-shirt.

Practice begins the week of January 8, 2013. Volunteer Coaching opportunities are available.
