The 
Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is pleased to announce that registration is open for the 20th Annual Entrepreneurial Excellence, or E-Day, Awards. Registration is open to the public and includes a day-long leadership symposium, awards luncheon during which the winners will be recognized, and a cocktail reception to wrap up the day. Mitch Lowe, President of DVD rental company Redbox, will deliver the keynote address at the luncheon.
“We’re excited to once again recognize hard working entrepreneurs in our region and have one of the nation’s leading entrepreneurs as our keynote speaker,” said LeAnn McCrum, Executive Director of the SBDC. “The symposium is a great way to compliment the awards, as leadership goes hand in hand with entrepreneurship.”
The symposium will feature targeted sessions on leadership, sales and marketing, finance and hiring. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion from the SBDC as well as tangible and targeted action plans.
The Leadership Symposium will be held November 17, 2011 from 7:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. at the Radisson Star Plaza in Merrillville, with the cocktail reception from 3:30p.m. to 5:00p.m. The E-Day Awards Luncheon will be held from 11:30a.m. to 1:15p.m. Attendees can choose to attend the Symposium, Awards Luncheon and the cocktail reception for $140, or just the Awards Luncheon for $40.
