The full-day conference will kick off with a keynote address by TEDx speaker, author and innovation leader, Chad J. Willett. Sixteen breakout sessions will be offered throughout the day to educate attendees with valuable skills and knowledge they need to advance their businesses. Sessions range from basic courses in accounting to more intermediate workshops like organizing your company's succession plan. Find the full list of workshops here (titles subject to change).
“This conference will provide area business leaders the opportunity to sharpen their skills and develop a successful strategy to grow their businesses in this ever-changing marketplace,” said Rick Walz, President and CEO of BBB Serving Northern Indiana. “The day will be filled with learning, networking and growth opportunities.”
An exciting addition, Gary Bredow, executive producer and host of nationally syndicated ‘Start Up’ on PBS will serve as the moderator for the conference panel discussion. Bredow will also host a pitch session, giving pre-registered business owners 5 minutes to pitch their business to him, with an opportunity to be selected to appear on the show, which has more than 6 million viewers.
Registration for BBB Accredited Businesses and SCORE mentors or clients is $99 per person through Oct. 1. Cost for all others is $125 through Oct. 1. Prices increase $15 Oct. 1. Additional discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
The Build a Better Business Conference will also serve as the official celebration of BBB’s 17th Annual Torch Awards. During the conference luncheon, the 2022 honorees will be featured in front of their peers and the northern Indiana business community.
“BBB was founded by businesses, for businesses, and more than 100 years later, we still pride ourselves on being a resource to our business community,” said Walz. “We invite all business leaders, accredited or not, to take advantage of the conference.”
