Hospice of the Calumet Area has opened online registrations for its 11th annual Hospice Hustle cycling event. Participants can choose to ride a 25, 62, or 100 mile course through rural southern Lake County Indiana. Pre-registration is $35 and $40 day of event. All proceeds help provide care for hospice patients.
A pancake breakfast and Starbucks coffee will be offered to riders at registration along with chili and custard scoops provided by Culver’s of Crown Point at the finish of the event. And new this year 95ATE5 Brew Pub will be on hand to sell local craft brew for those cyclists that enjoy a post-ride beer.
The 11th Annual Hospice Hustle will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2015. Start time is 8:00 a.m., beginning at the Lake County Fairgrounds. No late riders.
The Hospice Hustle is a community effort; two individuals who know this more than anyone are the event co-chairs, Bill Hasse and Dr. Gus Galante. Bill’s company, Hasse Construction, and Dr. Galante’s practice are extensively involved in bettering the community, but both go the extra mile for Hospice of the Calumet Area, having had their own lives touched by its care.
Other community members and businesses have stepped up to support Hospice of the Calumet Area through sponsorship.
