Registration Under Way for March Rain Barrel Workshops

recycleRegistration continues for the Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County March rain barrel workshops that aim to help residents learn more about the benefits of rain barrels, how to use them, and proper location and installation.

Two workshops will be held each night at 6 and 7:30 p.m.; Monday, March 28, at Woodland Park, 2100 Willowcreek Road, Portage; and Tuesday through Thursday, March 29 through 31, at Sunset Hill Farm County Park, 775 Meridian Road, Valparaiso.

Each workshop space is limited to 35 attendees. Register on the district’s website www.itmeanstheworld.org.

The $45 cost of for the workshop includes a rain barrel with spigot and linking and overflow fitting. Additional rain barrels can be ordered at the time of registration. Pre-registration and advance payment is required for each workshop.
