Remember Loved Ones at 2014 VNA Tree of Remembrance Ceremony

2013-TreeIn celebration of the lives of patients cared for over the years, VNA Friends of Hospice volunteers will sponsor the 9th annual VNA Tree of Remembrance ceremony on Sunday, December 7th. The Ceremony was started by VNA Friends of Hospice, who raises awareness and funds for the VNA of Porter County.

Anyone in the community who wishes to remember a loved one this holiday season is invited to attend this heartwarming ceremony. Participants will receive a keepsake dove ornament to place on the VNA Tree of Remembrance. Ornaments are available through a donation amount of your choice, which will in turn help the VNA continue to provide hospice care to those in need.

"We have people who have been coming since the first year it began," Maria Galka, Vice President of Development and Public Relations at VNA of Porter County said. "It's a nice way to remember someone that they miss during the holidays and great way to include a loved one in holiday festivities. It's a touching celebration."

The VNA Tree of Remembrance ceremony will begin at 6:30 P.M. (doors open at 6:00 P.M.) at the Valparaiso Family YMCA located at 1201 Cumberland Crossing in Valparaiso.
