After years of preparation, Residences at Coffee Creek opened its doors to the public and signaled it is officially open for business with a soiree unlike any other. The senior living community truly emphasized the “grand” in the phrase grand opening; endless treats, games, and activities awaited the guests, as did glimpses of the community's deluxe amenities. The Residences at Coffee Creek team wanted to welcome the community with open arms, so they didn’t hesitate in pulling out all the stops.
“This is a day that we’ve been waiting for a really long time and it’s finally here,” said Kaitlynn Redmon, Executive Director for Residences of Coffee Creek. “We’re really proud of this team here—we’ve been working really hard to prepare for tonight so they have a chance to celebrate with the community, but also to celebrate our residents and what’s in store.”
When residents begin moving into the senior care community, they will be met with spacious living spaces, several opulent gathering areas, a restaurant and a bistro, a chic salon, a game room, and, of course, access to the beautiful Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve.
“[Residences at Coffee Creek] is already like family to us,” said Katie Rizer, Executive Director of the Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy Team. “We’ve been waiting for some great neighbors, and we couldn’t have asked for better ones.”
Rizer said she was excited for the seniors to engage with their natural surroundings. Residences at Coffee Creek is currently creating opportunities for the residents to learn about birds and plant life as they coexist among them.
“You know, there’s a little piece of home everywhere here; whether you’re in the building or out at the preserve, there’s such connectivity there,” Rizer mused. “The residents have not only this building but also a 157-acre backyard to call their own.”
Whether attendees were listening to the live swing band in the restaurant, sipping cocktails and mingling in the bistro, or rolling the dice upstairs in the “casino,” everyone was impressed and entertained.
“We are thrilled by the outpouring of support from the community and we are so grateful to our team,” said Natalie Reisen, Marketing Coordinator for Residences at Coffee Creek. “The response we have received from everybody is overwhelming. We’re so ready for our residents to move in and we’re excited to share this all with them!”
Members of the Duneland Chamber of Commerce joined the Residences at Coffee Creek team in cutting the ceremonial ribbon midway through the evening’s festivities. The senior living community joins the ranks of several other communities finding a home in Chesterton, a city that is making up for lost time with many state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.
Though the evening made for a welcome grand gesture, anyone can see that Residences at Coffee Creek stands out from the crowd, with or without the fanfare. To learn more about the opportunities available to potential residents, visit https://residencesseniorliving.com/residences-coffee-creek/.
