The Residences at Coffee Creek gave the citizens of Chesterton a sneak peek of their brand new senior living facility on Thursday evening.
The new senior living community will be completed late this summer. Many people arrived, curious to peek at their possible new homes. Residences at Coffee Creek will include the only assisted memory care facility in Chesterton, and is guaranteed to provide its residents with a safe place to call their own.
In the bistro/cafe, there is a large, colorful collage. The pictures making up the collage honor the memory of the town and people of Chesterton.
"I'm excited that we have the opportunity to show our community something that they'll be excited about," said Melissa Huffman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.
Residences at Coffee Creek is unique in the fact that it's inclusive to everyone. The living spaces are developed to suit everyone's needs. If independent residents require assistance, they don't have to move again.
Residences at Coffee Creek has a place for everyone: A beautiful gardening space for seniors who have a green thumb. A friendly salon area where residents can socialize and develop lifelong friendships. Even the gorgeous walking paths leading to the Coffee Creek Watershed views, for avid hikers and strollers. The staff members of Residence at Coffee Creek led people through tours of the apartments to reveal their interiors.
The design is both sleek and modern with wall-to-wall carpet. When residents walk into their showers, they'll have cushioned seats for easy use. Plus, each apartment is spacious and includes its own walk-in shower and large closets. Kitchenettes include full-sized refrigerators and beautiful countertops and cabinetry.
"The building is beautiful and so much more is to come," said Marketing Coordinator Natalie Reisen. “I believe the culture at Residences at Coffee Creek is what will truly set us apart. Our team works hard for the common goal of quality and unique experiences. You can feel it when you walk in the door.”
After the tour, the guest enjoyed the top-notch gourmet appetizers offered with their choice of wine from local winery Running Vines, which will be featured at the Residences at Coffee Creek Bistro. Executive Chef Peta Harrison put a lot of thought into providing the guests with food that they may not prepare for themselves. Attendees could choose from four different kinds of quiche and a miniature cheesecake with fresh fruit topping for dessert.
"I want to make their dining experience something that they remember every time they sit down at the table," said Harrison, who always makes sure that her food is fresh and healthy.
"I like to see guests come in and get the vision of what we're trying to do and what we want to provide their families should they choose to live here in our community,” Harrison said.
Residences at Coffee Creek was created to help seniors enrich every aspect of their lives and to provide them with the comfort that they deserve, and the community is opening soon and taking reservations now.
