Early July 31, Residences at Coffee Creek hosted a meet-and-greet at the new property, located near the iconic Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve. Community members were invited to partake in a virtual tour of the facility, currently under construction, and to enjoy a walk through a portion of the grounds.
“Because the Coffee Creek Watershed is in our backyard, we really wanted to make sure that potential residents see all that we have to offer and know that they will have convenient access to that walking path and nature area,” said Melissa Huffman, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.
Today marked the very first walk for Residences at Coffee Creek employees and the surrounding community. Before the walk, participants were able to come together and enjoy some light refreshments and be taken through the virtual tour of the future facility and its provided amenities.
Once the introductions were finished with and the virtual tour completed, everyone made their way down to the walking path to start the trek. The enjoyable weather made the walk easier for everyone involved; most participants decided to take the longer trail path.
“My wife and I have walked these trails before, and we had nothing else planned today, so I thought, ‘Why not go and see what is going on?’” said Denise Guzik of the Duneland Seniors Group. “This is definitely a beautiful place, no doubt about it.”
Residences at Coffee Creek would like to stay active and have a way to connect with their surrounding community by continuously hosting walks. Every month or so, a walk will be held on site in Chesterton, Indiana. Residences at Coffee Creek hopes that the participants will be able to have some fun and enjoy the scenery in the Watershed Preserve—plus free refreshments—while they familiarize themselves with the provided programs.
“We are thrilled that Coffee Creek is so accessible to our future residents,” said Natalie Reisen, Marketing Coordinator for Residences at Coffee Creek. “Our team is excited to share our love for this area and create opportunities for community members to come together and enjoy the nature around us. It’s an excellent way to also showcase the hard-top walking paths that people of all abilities can come out and enjoy. We will definitely be doing these walks regularly.”
Residences at Coffee Creek will be hosting their next walking event on Thursday, August 8 from 4:30-6:30pm. You can RSVP to the event by calling 219-921-5200. Come enjoy some wine and chef-prepared hors d’oeuvres!
