The NIRPC Environmental Department would like to invite you to an Environmental Workshop on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm at NIRPC in Portage, Indiana. The goal of this workshop is to advance use of regional environmental plans by local planners, elected officials, and environmental organizations.
We will use the results of the survey you and others completed on this topic this spring. NIRPC wants your input on the value of these plans to the local communities.
Your contribution will be critical in helping NIRPC improve future environmental planning efforts. Implementation and improvement ideas for the following plans will be discussed:
· Greenways and Blueways · The Marquette Plan · Lake Michigan Lakewide Management Plan · Watershed Management Framework Plan · Indiana Non-Point Coastal Program · Ped and Pedal Plan
This meeting will be held at the regularly scheduled July Land Use Committee Meeting. We ask that you commit to the entire length of the workshop. Breakfast will be provided.
