Wine lovers all know there is no such thing as “just wine.” However, for lack of a better term, Running Vines Winery is more than just that. Running Vines offers a lot of fun and creative events at their Chesterton location including fun runs, crafts and more.
Wine enthusiasts now have way more reasons to stop by Running Vines for a glass or two. Who are we kidding, more like a bottle - that we share, of course.
Thursday, August 25 at 6:00 pm, RV will be having a Wine and Canvas Painting Party with a colorful and calming Beached Boat as their project. All the supplies are included along with a glass of wine or a tasting flight for only $35 per person. Thankfully, it also comes with step by step instructions to keep you on track after that wine! Grab some friends and create your own piece of artwork. It’s amazing how different everyone’s painting turns out to be in the end. Sign up here!
That same night, RV will be having a Karaoke Night from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. After you finish up your painting, settle in for a night of singing with friends, cheering on the average Joes and Janes, and the surprise diamond in the rough. It’s all for fun at RV, so grab the mic and express yourself!
The other half of Running Vines is their love for running and being active. RV is holding a Trail Mix Fun Run on August 30 at 6:00 pm to celebrate National Trail Mix Day a day early. There will be a 3 mile run/walk around town starting and finishing at Running Vines. Lace up those running shoes and reward yourself with a glass of wine at the end.
Not so much into running? That’s okay! That same night, as the runners and walkers take off for a 3 miler, there will be a Read Between the Wines Book Club meeting from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. They will be discussing the book Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris.
If you have to miss the painting party on the 25th, no worries. There will be another on August 31 at 6:30 pm. Elements of Entertainment: Wine by the Water will feature a beautiful and colorful autumn view along a calming lake. The price includes a glass of wine and all the supplies you’ll need.
If something about wine gets your creative juices flowing, there’s another painting class on September 14 at 6:00pm. For this class, participants will be given two wine glasses to paint and decorate, along with a glass of wine or a tasting flight. To participate in this event, stop by Running Vines up to one week before to purchase your ticket, cash only. Participants can also make a payment over Facebook, message RV for details.
