Continuing throughout this Memorial Day week, ValpoLife.com will be running a special tribute to those whom have served our country. We strongly encourage the Valparaiso community to honor the good people that have served or are currently serving in our nation’s military by sending in a photo and a quick note to publicly honor these folks. You can either email us these photos directly at photos@valpolife.com, or if you are a member of the site, you can upload them directly by going to our Photo Upload page, and include a short note with the photo(s) that you upload. If you only have a photo in physical form, you can send it to us with your note and we will return it once we can scan it and load it up.
There is no cost to participate, and we will be featuring all the submissions to the site so that you can publicly show the good people that have served our country a bit of appreciation online, and we can all share in some fun, touching, interesting, or short and sweet ways that say “Thank you for serving our country.”
We have a list of businesses that are already going to be awarding prizes for what we pick as the best or most unique submissions, and we are encouraging all businesses and organizations in Valpo that would like to give out an award of any kind or size to give us a call at 219-707-5023 or email me at with whatever they would like to provide. This is not only a great way to help pay respect to those who serve in our Armed Forces, but a very cost-effective way to market to the Valparaiso community, and show all of Valpo your support for these fine men and women we will be promoting the winners of these promotions on the site and in the newsletter, both this week and next.
I encourage each of you, your kids, and your spouses or friends to get involved and share a sentence or two, or a story if you’d like, about those whom have served. Help us spread the word and encourage as many firms to participate and people to contribute as you can so that we can collectively say “THANK YOU” in a major way.
