On Saturday, September 29, 2012, from Noon-4:00 pm the Kibble Kitchen pet pantry will be hosting our 2nd Annual Puppy Paws & Kitty Claws fall open house. The open house is being held in hopes of spreading the word about the pantry and the service we provide to Porter County families.
“The community continues to embrace our organization and their continued support has been great, but as more individuals and families are feeling the economic crunch the need for assistance will continue to go and so will the need for additional support and volunteers,” Stated Founder/Executive Director Michelle Duca.
During the open house Lakeshore Paws will be in attendance showcasing animals available for adoption. Come see what the pantry is all about, enjoy tours of the pantry, raffles, pet related items for sale and much more!
The pantry will also be selling custom t-shirts supporting the pantries beliefs of “No pet should go hungry”. These t-shirts are being sold in hopes of raising awareness that there are pets going hungry right in our own community due to their owners facing financial hardship, also to raise funds to use towards spay and neuter surgeries of pets of families that receive assistance from the pantry.
The pantry is located in the Portage Commons Shopping plaza in a donated location, the address is 5882 US HWY 6 (Corner of Rt 6 & Willowcreek Rd.)
