This 2014 tribute gives the community a chance to reflect on the tragedy that affected all Americans on September 11, 2001.

The fifth grade class of Cooks Corners Elementary will walk in a procession from school to lead the Pledge of Allegiance and listen to remembrances and meanings of the day from speakers that include Mayor Jon Costas, Cooks Corners Principal Eric Utesch and Fire Chief David Nondorf. The fifth grade students will also sing the National Anthem. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Parks Department Maintenance building at the same site.
