September Learn @ Lunch – “Nutrition and Exercise: Effective Tools to Decrease Your Child’s Behavioral Problems”

rot001On Tuesday, September 16, Porter-Starke Services will host its Learn @ Lunch series with an informative educational lecture entitled, "Nutrition and Exercise: Effective Tools to Decrease Your Child's Behavioral Problems" from 11:30AM-1:00 PM at the Knox Community Center located at 55 East Lake Street in Knox. Todd Willis, MA, LMHC, Director of Children's Services at Porter-Starke Services will be the featured presenter.

Children today are developing mental illnesses at an alarming rate. Parents concerned about medication seek alternative answers to treating issues such as depression and attention issues. The foods children eat can go a long way in decreasing the effects of depression and attention issues. This presentation will take a closer look at ways that parents can modify the foods their children eat in an effort to decrease the effects of mental illness.

The Learn@Lunch series consist of monthly educational seminars featuring informative and practical mental health and wellness topics. Seminar locations rotate between Valparaiso, Portage and Knox and are open to the general public as well as clinicians and educators. When applicable, Porter-Starke Services offers 1.5 Continuing Education Credits for $5.00.
