The Valparaiso Police Department would like to announce the transfer of Sergeant Andrew McIntyre back to the Detective Bureau. Sergeant McIntyre is a nine—year veteran of the police department, having spent his career in many facets of law enforcement.
Sergeant McIntyre has previous experience as an in-vestigator, having spent three years with the Porter County Multi-Enforcement Group and two years as a Detective, prior to returning to Patrol as a Sergeant in 2017. Sergeant McIntyre has further served the department as Field Training Officer and Bike Patrol Coordinator. Sergeant McIntyre is a 2009 graduate of Indiana University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.
