Several Honored at CHS Academic Recognition Night

Chesterton-TrojansChesterton High School students from all four grade levels were honored at the Academic Recognition Night sponsored by the school this past Thursday, in the CHS Auditorium. Recognition to students is based on cumulative grade point averages (GPA) specific to each grade level.

Freshman recipients are based on a cumulative GPA of 3.96 or above at the end of one semester. In addition, Chesterton High School will honor 38 seniors with a special Distinguished Honor Student Award at the Academic Recognition Night. Seniors receiving this award must complete a minimum of a B- average in at least two-thirds of the Honors or Gifted and Talented credits possible. These students are recognized as a “Distinguished Honor Student” on their final transcript, and wear a special honors hood at the commencement ceremony.
