Professionals in the automotive sector and members of the general public who want to learn about compressed natural gas, propane and biodiesel options for recreational and industrial vehicles could benefit from six free upcoming webinars.
Officials from South Shore Clean Cities Inc. and Wisconsin Clean Cities have announced the Clean Cities Winter Webinar Series. Carl Lisek, executive director of South Shore Clean Cities, said each webinar focuses on a single topic, but the entire series could attract a wide range of participants.
"These free webinars will inform and educate participants about alternative fuels, technologies, vehicles, safety, available tools, personal fleet and individual experiences," he said.
Webinars in the series include:
* CNG (compressed natural gas) Vehicle Conversions, Jan. 30, 1-2:30 p.m. CST
* Propane Lawn Mowers, Vehicles and Stations, Feb. 6, 10-11:30 a.m. CST
* Dealership Education, Feb. 19, 1-2:30 p.m. CST
* Biodiesel: Production & Fleet Experience, March 5, 10-11:30 a.m. CST
* Maintenance Shop Safety When Using Natural Gas, March 25, 1-2:30 p.m. CST
* Clean Cities Tools, April 9, 10-11:30 a.m. CST
"The Clean Cities Tools webinar will introduce participants to the free online tools available through the Clean Cities program, including a vehicle cost calculator, petroleum reduction planning tool and alternative fueling station locator," Lisek said.

Officials at South Shore Clean Cities also lead Legacy Environmental Services, based in the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana.
