South Shore Arts Artist Chamber Luncheon

South Shore Arts is a not-for-profit organization that provides an outlet for artists to grow and promote their work. The organization works to create and strength connections between socially and culturally diverse communities along the South Shore through classes, exhibits, and funding for the arts.

Every two months, the South Shore Arts hosts an Artist Chamber Luncheon. The most recent was held this Wednesday, June 16 at Bartlett’s Gourmet Grill and Tavern, the newest addition to chefs Nicole Bissonette’s and Gary Sanders’ line of gourmet restaurants. The food featured at this month’s meeting was a delicious chilled melon soup, a grilled chicken BLT sandwich, and pecan pie for dessert; great menu for a very warm day.

This networking event provides local artists and those involved with the arts a place to meet and promote their events. I had the chance to sit down with Larry and Carol Brechner, Jane Leslie, and Deborah Landry. I was able to discuss theater and photography with Larry and Carol, listen to Jane tell stories of her days acting and modeling in New York and California, and hear Deborah’s thoughts on the modern artist. Deborah also displayed some of her most recent work.
