South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority Set to Host Tech Summit

The South Shore Convention and Visitor Authority’s October 4, Tourism Tech Summit is a great opportunity for participants to put those questions behind them. The summit will provide participants the knowledge to enhance marketing through social media technology. The summit will take place at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond, Indiana from 8am to 3:30pm.

Participants from support organizations, private industry, academic institutions, and IT groups are invited to attend. The event will feature guest speakers and panel discussions on topics including best practices, innovative social networking, video technology, and connecting with your target market. Here panelists will walk participants through the process of utilizing the latest in social media and technology tools.

SSCVA has partnered with Indiana Tourism, Morgan Birge, Valpolife/Ideas in Motion and Mobi Manage for the event. The SSCVA acts as a liaison among industry, public partners and academia to secure resources to better promote the agency's vision while enabling an open dialogue among a broad spectrum of professionals in the IT community.

The South Shore CVA’s Director of Information Technology Luke Weinman will host the event. "The Tech Summit continues CVA's goal of inspiring a more innovative, collaborative, and informed workforce and bringing together local talent to one location through social media and technology workshops and information exchange," Weinman said.
