South Shore Dance Alliance Students Accepted into Summer Programs in Chicago and New York City

South-Shore-Dance-Alliance-deja_keyAs summer finally begins to heat up, ten local dancers will have the opportunity to experience dance programs with several outstanding dance organizations in Chicago and New York City.

Although we are preparing for another rigorous summer intensive program which begins July 5 here at our own studio in Gary, we are always excited and encouraged to see our dancers audition for and be accepted into other top programs around the country. It means we’re doing things right, and they’re doing the work. It will make them stronger dancers and ready for what’s out there in the professional dance world,” says South Shore Dance Alliance (SSDA) artistic director Larry Brewer.

The following SSDA students auditioned this spring and were accepted into the following highly competitive summer dance programs:

South-Shore-Dance-Alliance-india_maynorSSDA’s Summer Intensive program runs for five weeks, from July 5 through August 5, and is intended for dancers ages 10 and up. In addition, SSDA is offering weeklong Kid’s Dance Camp programming during the same time period for children ages 4 to 9 and also for students new to dance ages 10 and up.
