The Valparaiso International Center (The VIC) will host a free Spanish-language conversation group on Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, at the organization’s headquarters, 309 East Lincolnway, Valparaiso. Spanish Table at The VIC is held on the second Thursday of every month.
Spanish Table is designed for people who wish to improve their Spanish language skills. All who want to speak or practice their Spanish are welcome to attend. Colombia will be the topic for this month’s session. Empanadas will be served as a treat for those wishing to share in the cost ($5). The VIC is an independent nonprofit organization that serves all of Northwest Indiana from its headquarters in downtown Valparaiso. It provides a forum to learn about different cultures through interactive events, festivals, classes, and discussion groups. The VIC also helps international residents and visitors adjust to their new surroundings through an online guidebook, “Open Doors to All.” The organization will sponsor its seventh annual World Cultural Festival at Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso on September 19, 2015.
