Every year, Porter County Parks and Recreation celebrates the transition from the cold, harsh Northwest Indiana winter to the beautiful spring and summer months with the Spring Out to Sunset Festival! This festival serves as a gathering of hundreds of region residents celebrating all the outdoor fun that summer in the parks has to offer.
This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 10 am to 3 pm at Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso. The day will be filled with family friendly activities such as flying kites, wagon rides, an obstacle course, music, delicious food, a scavenger hunt, face painting and much, much more.
The goal of the event is to give region families a fun and affordable venue to get outside and active in one of Porter County’s beautiful parks!
A variety of vendors will have booths at Spring Out to Sunset, specializing in everything from pets, to health and fitness, to outdoor recreation. There will also be a booth for the Park’s Camp FUNset, where kids can preview camp activities and parents can register their child with an exclusive $5 discount offered only during the festival!
