Since the area’s first Twitteradi’s first blue cheese cheeseburger lunch meetup in January, 2013, local business & technology leaders has been working on helping local businesses and entrepreneurs grow business ideas. On Wednesday night, December 18th at Zao Island in Valparaiso, a couple big steps will be taken.
The first step
Kelly Schwedland of Elevate Ventures along with Nat Finn (BakedFinn / #NWITweetup Legacy Director) and others will be hosting a holiday edition of the Startup Front Meetup. The theme of the night will be, “How to Qualify for Startup Business Funding with Elevate Ventures - a Case Study” Their special guests will be Myles Grote and Kevin MacCauley, co-founders of the startup BookaCoach.com.
Watch and learn how their pitch got them qualified for funding
Myles and Kevin will kick of the night by performing the same exact 15-minute pitch they gave to Elevate Ventures during their application for funding. Their pitch lead to their eventual funding approval from Elevate Ventures - a big step towards taking their site to the next level.
Myles & Kevin along with Kelly will then answer questions regarding the pitch, the thoughts and decisions that went into the pitch as well as the additional steps leading to BookaCoach.com’s request for startup funding.
After the pitch and Q&A session, the rest of the meetup will be devoted to networking, mingling and dining - except for the last few minutes.
The second step
For those last few minutes, Kelly will be giving a major announcement regarding startups, funding and Northwest Indiana in 2014. The announcement will lead to major opportunities for entrepreneurs and those with startup business ideas.
