Nearly a hundred writers and poets attended the second annual Steel Pen Writers' Conference sponsored by the Indiana Writers Consortium on Oct. 10 at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville.
A book fair, breakout sessions, readings, and keynote address by novelist Brian Furuness inspired the group. A special highpoint was a presentation by poet Wang Ping about her Kinship of Rivers Project.
