Looking for an opportunity to get outside, have some fun, and do it all for a great cause?
Kids Alive International and Steiner Homes LTD. are teaming up for a golf outing for on October 2 at the Course at Aberdeen, and Northwest Indiana residents are invited to come out and help make a difference in a child’s life.
The annual outing was an idea sprouted by Steiner Homes’ desire to spread awareness of the mission of Kids Alive, which aims to provide medical services, shelter, education, food, and anything else a child could need to lead a better life in areas around the world that need it most. And they figured golfing on one of the Region’s finest courses would be a great way to get a whole lot of Northwest Indiana residents involved in Kids Alive’s cause.
“The staff at Steiner Homes wanted to find a way to help raise awareness and funds for the Kids Alive ministry and felt a golf outing would be a fun way to do that,” Cindy Hicks, Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships for Kids Alive told IIMM. “It is a great way to get the community involved.”
And participants in the outing can feel good knowing that all the money raised during the event will be going towards some positive changes in someone’s life.
“All proceeds from the outing will benefit the global ministries of Kids Alive,” added Hicks.
The format for this year’s outing is a four-person scramble that begins at 11 with check-in and registration, and a shotgun start at noon. Interested participants can register here at the outing’s official site.
Cost of the outing is $125 per person, and that includes golf, dinner, shirt, giveaway bag, door prize drawing, donation to Kids Alive International, and the feeling of knowing you made a difference in a child’s life.
