In an effort to foster holiday cheer, StoryPoint Rockford partnered with McBride Studios and Rockford High School’s broadcasting studio, Beyond the Rock, to produce a holiday music video. The so-called “Holiday Together” project launched in early fall of 2017. The idea began with a desire to have the staff and residents of StoryPoint Rockford work in collaboration with the Beyond the Rock high school students to produce an intergenerational art project.
“I was inspired by the residents’ stories of how music had touched their lives. I really wanted to empower them to use their gifts beyond what they ever saw possible for themselves,” said Executive Director, Curtis Avison.
StoryPoint Rockford prides itself on supporting the local community by bringing people together for the greater purpose of celebrating life. The residents, staff and local partners have demonstrated this through sharing their talents with the world.

Beyond the Rock is a video production program at Rockford High School. Earlier this year they were awarded their third straight year as the “High School Television Station of the Year” by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
