Jerrick Suiter scored 26 points in 25 minutes as the Valparaiso High School boys varsity basketball team defeated Chesterton High School 55-43 on Tuesday night.
Valparaiso had trailed 27-20 at halftime, but came out running with a strong third quarter, outscoring the Trojans 17-3. Suiter shot 10-12 from the floor, and added eight rebounds and four blocks in the winning effort. Dan Hummel also added eight points, two assists, and three steals, while Adam Butterfield contributed six points, three assists and two steals for the Vikings.
