books-pileChesterton Middle School will host a Barnes and Noble Bookfair on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Valparaiso location. CMS student artwork will be on display all day. From 1-3 p.m. there will be hands-on science activities with CMS Science Olympiad team members. Please mention the CMS Bookfair (ID 10675916) when making purchases of books, NOOKs, movies, music, and café items. All purchases benefit the CMS library.

Barnes & Noble is partnering with Duneland Education Foundation to present Jim McShane of South Shore Grants Center who will speak on Technology Grants at 10 a.m. With more and more schools heading to digital, it’s important to help our educators to be better informed and equipped to get those technology grants! Two Duneland Schools Media Specialists, Karla Wilson of CHS and Mara Becking of CMS will be featured at the event discussing the role of the media specialist in schools.
