The event will be held at The Porter County Sheriff’s Department Training Room on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. (local time). Members of the press are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Attendees will include those who have contributed to and supported the success of the program since its inception in fall of 1994. The first road signs, radio advertisements, and vehicle magnets appeared in Porter and LaPorte Counties in support of the program in the spring of 1995.

This will be the first time all the supporters have gathered as a group.

The program was founded by Robert J. Wichlinski who served as Porter Township Trustee from 2003-06.

At the event, Wichlinski will pay special recognition to the Porter County Sheriff’s Department, the Porter County Highway Department and Indiana 105 Radio One Broadcasting for their sustained support.
