Taylor Granat, of Valparaiso High School, has been elected governor of the Indiana District of Key Club International, a Kiwanis International Service Leadership Program for high school students, for the 2009 – 2010 academic year.
As governor, Taylor will preside over board meetings, train and work with her lieutenant governors to build membership, enhance the member experience and represent Key Club International. She will also appoint a convention committee of lieutenant governors to be responsible for the planning of the 2010 annual district convention.
“I am excited to lead the Indiana District of Key Club International. The Indiana District is noted internationally as the only district that has 21 continuous years of membership growth. This is a result of the dedication, commitment, and leadership demonstrated by those elected to leadership positions in the 140 Key Clubs throughout the State of Indiana, the high quality of Kiwanis and Faculty Advisors, and the support provided by our parent organization, the Indiana District of Kiwanis International.”
