Team Indiana Victory in Mid-States Swimming Champions

Mako-Swim-TeamSaint Paul 5th Grader, Grace Cobble, competed in the Mid-States Swimming Championships this past weekend at the IUPUI Natatorium. Home to some of the fastest swimming times, this pool has an aura about it like no other. With banners of U.S. Olympians hanging above, swimmers from Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana competed for this year’s title. Team Indiana was victorious and Grace contributed her fair share to the title. She swam in five individual events and two relays. Her relays finished 2nd and 7th. She finished with a 2nd place, (3) 6ths and a 10th. The swimming was good, but the friendships formed between these kids from so many different teams were priceless. It was an awesome experience for Grace and all of the athletes who took part in the event.

Grace, who is a member of the Mako Swim Team, says she had a great time, but is looking forward to swimming with her Mako teammates this weekend at the Carmel Swim Team Invitational Meet, also being held at the IUPUI Natatorium.
