Students at Central Elementary became part of a worldwide community during the 2014-2015 school year. These 29 students came to meetings to research, write, and present their ideas during our first ever TED-Ed Club at Central. TED-Ed Clubs allows students at the elementary level to discover their own passion and share it in the form of short TED-style talks. TED-Ed Club encourages students to engage their minds and learn in a non-traditional setting. They were free to choose their own topic of interest, and individualize their talks to suit their own personalities. TED-Ed Club brought students in grades 3-5 together they bounced ideas off one another and gave each other advice and pointers during their talks.
