The 16th annual City Employee Food Drive will be Nov. 1-11. The major collection day will be Nov. 9th at Town and Country and Strack & Van Til. “The food we collect is distributed to nearby food pantries to help brighten the holiday season for local families,” said Jeffry Van Syoc, city employee and organizer of the Food Drive.
We Need Your Help
There are two ways to help in collecting food for those in need:
1. Give on Collection Day, Nov. 9
Please give food items or financial donations at Valparaiso’s Town & Country, 1605 Calumet Ave in Valparaiso; and Strack & Van Til, 2169 West Highway 30 on Nov. 9.
2. Give at City Hall, Nov. 1-11
McCasland Leasing is donating a truck that will collect donations at City Hall from Friday, Nov. 1 through Monday, Nov. 11. Drop off your contributions during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you would like to make a financial contribution or give after business hours, you may contact Van Syoc at JVanSyoc@valpo.us.
