Thomas Jefferson Elementary Holiday Sing-a-long

Thomas Jefferson Elementary School held their annual Sing-a-long on Thursday, December 17. This musical program has been a tradition at Christmastime for longer than the current staff can remember, as the whole school gathers in the gym to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

The program started off with three rousing holiday tunes, performed by the 4th and 5th grade choir. Mrs. Zappia, who also teaches the music class at the school, directed the choir, who sang songs they performed a few weeks ago at the This Is Our Story program. Each song explored a different aspect of the holiday season, with the ending song about Santa’s reindeer, complete with hand motions.

After the choir finished singing, they were dismissed to sit with their classmates. Mrs. Zappia then led the entire gym in a holiday sing-a-long, with every holiday classic from Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer to Deck the Halls. The program ended with a sweet version of Silent Night.
