Tickets Available for Ideas in Motion Media’s “Good Life Awards” Fundraising Event

IRParty_RotatorTickets are available for the 1st Annual Good Life Awards Party Fundraiser, presented by Ideas in Motion Media at Industrial Revolution. Net proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Valpo Schools Foundation and the Porter County Career and Technical Center.

The Good Life Awards Party will take place on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 6:00 pm and will honor five recipients who have gone above and beyond to impact the Ideas in Motion Media good news networks - ValpoLife.com, PortageLife.com, and LaPorteCountyLife.com - in a positive manner. Each winner will be honored with a custom-designed “Good Life” award, designed and crafted by Industrial Revolution owner Mike Leeson.

“The Valparaiso Schools Foundation and The Porter County Career & Technical Center are the first two organizations that I got involved with after moving to Valparaiso, and they represent good people doing good things for other good people," explained Chris Mahlmann, Publisher of Ideas in Motion Media and Valpo Schools Foundation and PCCTC board member. "They truly inspired the vision I had for the LIFE sites, so I am excited that we have a chance to highlight what these awesome groups are doing in our community."

Individual tickets are available for $30 at Industrial Revolution Eatery & Grille, located at 1084 Linwood Avenue in Valparaiso, and also at the Ideas in Motion Media office at 5 Napoleon Street in Valparaiso. Food will be provided by Industrial Revolution with music and entertainment will be provided by DJ Wade Breitzke of 27 Entertainment

“Our students and faculty are grateful to be recipients of a donation from the Good Life Awards party,” stated Jon Groth, Principal and Director at the Porter County Career and Technical Center. “Some people say we are one of the best kept secrets in Porter County and we appreciate getting the word out about our success at this exciting summer party.”

“The Valpo Schools Foundation has budgeted nearly $30,000 for scholarships and $12,000 for teachers’ grants for this year,” explained Steve Buck, board member of the Valpo Schools Foundation. “We love when the Valpo Schools Foundation can receive additional community support for our organization so we can maintain the high quality of education in Valparaiso.”
