The T J National Science Olmpiad team won the Indiana State Championship, and were selected to represent Indiana in the National Science Olympiad competition. This will take place on May 17-18 at Wight State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Part of the festivities includes a swap meet, where team members bring souvenirs from their state to share. The kids get to barter for cool stuff with competitors from Hawaii to Maine. We visited them at the school on May 3. We took with us items for them to swap at their competition.
There are 16 kids on the team and we gave them each a RRR tote bag, bumper sticker and button. The girls pictured are Shellacious, Twizted Sister, Defluerd and Indiana Jonesin.
