What is GIVE DAY?
To help fight homelessness, the Porter County Community Foundation introduces GIVE DAY, a one-day giving holiday! On this day only (12:01 am to 11:59 pm), gifts to 17 nonprofit organizations that address homelessness or provide shelter services will receive matching funds through a pool of $55,000+ from generous sponsors. When you give through GIVE DAY, your gift goes further and the minimum donation is just $25.
How can you help The Caring Place?
On November 8, visit portercountygiveday.org. Select The Caring Place as the organization you would like to support through GIVE DAY. Your gift to The Caring Place truly saves lives!
Join us for a free cup of coffee!
Stop by Blackbird Cafe located at 114 E. Lincolnway in Valparaiso between 7am-3pm on GIVE DAY. Caring Place staff will be there to assist you in "Point, Click, Give" on portable devices. (You can also make a donation with check or cash). We will have our "Clothesline Project" on display, which was created by victims of domestic violence. It is a powerful message of courage and survival.
Anyone making a minimum donation on GIVE DAY will receive a free cup of coffee, compliments of Blackbird Cafe
