Christmas never arrives quietly in Valpo. Hundreds of children, teens and instruments are heard as part of This is Our Story, an annual festival that celebrates art both with music and in a wide range of media from sculptures to photographs. Kindergarten through high school senior students work together to create an amazing event.

Of all the events we see throughout the year, graduations and commencements are the ones that most embody our good news mission. To see all the hard work put in and out of the classroom by students, parents, teachers, coaches, families and friends culminate in one event, with everyone across the school celebrating the same thing, it's just awesome.

The 2016 boys basketball Sectional Championship came down to a barn-burner between Valpo and Crown Point! Although Crown Point came out with the title, we have some great photos from the game!
2016 Valpo Triathlon

The 14th annual Valpo Tri ran its last course this year, which marks the end to a celebrated Valparaiso tradition. Around 240 athletes took part in the triathlon to help make 2016’s race one of the best yet, with picture perfect conditions welcoming the athletes and their families.

The annual event honors six awardees who go above and beyond to impact the mission of the Ideas in Motion Media good news networks in a positive and meaningful way. Each winner is honored with a custom solid-steel Good Life Award trophy, designed and crafted by Industrial Revolution owner Mike Leeson.

Porter Health Care System cares for the community they serve, and their fundraising for the American Heart Association is a prime example. We caught up with the Porter team during the 2016 Heart Walk to go over why they love the event, and why they came together as one huge group to raise money for the health of others.
