The Valpo Vikings and Carmel Greyhounds played their hearts out at the intense Semi-State Championship game!
To celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month, the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Porter County Juvenile Court, and the Porter County CASA program (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) joined forces to host Adoption Day on Tuesday.

The cherry on top of this popcorn-sprinkled sundae of a festival is the Valparaiso Popcorn Parade. Every year, scores of organizations participate in the parade, waving and entertaining the entire city that’s turned out to watch. This year was no exception, with over 100 groups in the parade and streets filled with smiling attendees. We even snagged some photos from above the action!

Popcorn Festival Lit’l Kernel Puff 2018
The smallest kernels pop the fastest! The 2018 Lit’l Kernel Puff Run, sponsored by General Insurance Services this year, made room for runners ages 2-9 to hit the downtown pavement! While their family and friends cheered them on, these kiddos made a beeline for the finish line!
This Saturday evening, Lakeshore PAWS hosted their eighth annual Pup Crawl and Dog Walk event for adults, teens, children and, of course, dogs at The Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso.
40th Annual This Is Our Story Festival of the Arts
Valparaiso Community Schools presented the 40th annual This Is Our Story Festival of the Arts at Valparaiso High School Monday evening. The program inspired a strong sense of community with the beauty of music, all while sharing the excitement of the holiday season. Students of all ages showcased their artistic abilities with their artwork, instruments, and voices.
