Torch Club Members of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County Duneland Unit recently presented local business owner, Joel Sutlin with the Helping Hands Volunteer Appreciation Award. The recognition was given for his steadfast support and assistance with the Torch Club’s fundraising projects. Mr. Sutlin is the President of Signature Products in Chesterton.
Torch Club is a leadership and service group for Boys & Girls Club members ages 11-13. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community, education, health and fitness and social recreation.
Serving youth for 40 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County provide programs for nearly 5,000 boys and girls ages 5-18 in the areas of academic success, good character & citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has club sites located in Valparaiso, South Haven, Chesterton and Portage.
