The Christmas season is getting of to a great start on Saturday at Woodland Park in Portage. The US Marine Corps will have their annual Toys for Tots Campaign, from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The Admission is one new unwrapped toy.
Fun family activities include moonwalk, face painting and crafts, as well as balloon characters provided by Michiana Clowns. Santa will arrive at 11:00 AM, and get your picture taken with Santa. Free photo developing will be provided by Walgreen’s Drug Stores.
The festivities include Radio One’s Holiday Concert, sponsored by Radio One Communication’s Entertainment. Live entertainment includes Just Us & Friends from 11:00 to 12:00. Cookin’ Country will play from 12:00 to 1:30, and Jason Jaques will be on stage from 1:30 to 3:00. Indiana Elite Gymnastics will also be providing tumbling demonstrations.
To satisfy your hunger, the Chili Luncheon is being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Portage. The all-you-can-eat Chili Luncheon runs from 11:00 to 3:00 and is $5 per adult. A Kids Meal, for children 12 and under, is only $1.00.
