Do something special for the young people in your life and join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s annual “Day for Kids” celebration on Saturday, September 19, 2015. “Day for Kids” will be held at Zao Island, (1050 Horse Prairie Avenue, Valparaiso) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Every year, “Day for Kids” events are held at Boys & Girls Clubs across the country as a way to honor children and emphasize the importance of meaningful time spent with caring adults. Locally, hundreds of children and their families participate in “Day for Kids” to have fun together and create memories which will last a lifetime.
Tickets for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s “Day for Kids” celebration are on sale now. Tickets are just $3.50 each for Club members and $6.50 for non-Club members. Metro Recycling, Sheet Metal Workers Local #20, and Zao Island are proud sponsors for this year’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s “Day for Kids” celebration supporting affordable family fun. “With families on the go more than ever, it’s important to take time out and show kids just how special they are to the adults who care about them,” said Ryan Smiley, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County. “Because of the support from our sponsors, we are able to provide a day of fun for children and their families that can fit in nearly any budget.”
Each ticket is good for one round of mini-golf, a $5 play card, and a choice of one additional attraction, for example go-karts, or Laser Tag. “Day for Kids” is a rain or shine event.
